Grape Variety: 100 % Aglianico
Production area: Our own vineyards in Montemiletto
Wine-making techniques: Selected grapes are fermented and macerated for an average of 8 days. When the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are complete the wine is left to mature in small barrels of American oak for 8 months.
Tasting notes: Intense ruby red with violet reflections, it shows black cherry, wild blackberry and plum fruit flavours with a spicy, toasted overtone. Soft and elegant, it is surprisingly long in the mouth with notes of mature red fruits and displays the structure necessary for long ageing.
Food pairings: Ideal with soups, even those which are meat based, cold cuts, white and red meat, roasted or boiled and mature cheeses. Serve at 18°C.
